Alison has almost 20 years’ experience at senior levels in the South Australian Government as well as more than 10 years’ experience in the banking and insurance industries.

A former actuary, Alison has led major reform projects and successful cultural change across diverse organisations with multiple stakeholders.

As Director, Community Partnerships and Growth in Housing SA and late Renewal SA, she led the transformation of the South Australian community housing sector through: the transfer of over 1,700 properties, modernised legislation and contract arrangements, the introduction of a national regulatory system and the reform of crisis and transitional housing programs.

Alison has a strong interest in risk management, policy and advocacy, financial modelling, service delivery and good governance.

After graduating with first class honours in applied mathematics, her early career was in the banking and life insurance industries, with a focus on corporate planning, asset management and international capital raising. This helped develop her strong commercial/business acumen.

Alison is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an independent member of the board of Alzheimer’s Australia SA and the Fleurieu Regional Aquatic Centre Authority, and Member, Australasian Housing Institute.
