Utility Literacy Workshops - February and March 2017  west

Do you work with people who struggle to pay their utility bills, who have high energy consumption or are unsure about what kind of contract they have with their energy supplier? You might be a financial counsellor or housing officer, a case manager in mental health or working in emergency relief - hardship as we know cuts right across our sector.

UCWB delivers innovative training in utilities literacy to the community services sector in South Australia. We have designed a set of five half-day modular-based workshops:

  1. Decoding bills and reading meters
  2. Contracts and getting a better deal
  3. Calculating running costs, energy and water efficiency
  4. Hardship, concessions and assistance
  5. New technologies and tariff reform

The workshops will be offered at Bowden in February and March 2017. If you wish to register (yourself, colleagues, volunteers…) for any of the training modules, just click on the date(s) of your choice on the calendar. While the sessions are complementary, they can be attended as stand-alone workshops.

UCWB delivers training state-wide so if you would like to host a session, please get in touch with us to discuss options. Sessions can be tailored to your needs. To find out more contact Stephen Graham or Heather Merran on 8245 7148 or  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
