Southern Volunteering SA Training Calendar - February to June 2017  south

Southern Volunteering SA offers a selection of courses for volunteers and volunteer managers, including several new courses specifically for volunteer managers, which are being offered for the first time. Most of the courses are free. All of the free courses (except for Introduction to Volunteering) are open to active volunteers or managers of volunteers only.
Upcoming courses for the months of March and April include:

  • Introduction to Volunteering - Woodcroft
  • Mental Health First Aid (2 days) - Victor Harbor
  • Customer Service Training for Volunteers – Seaford
  • Volunteers and the Law – Christies Beach
  • Grief and Loss – Seaford
  • Dementia Awareness – Goolwa 

Launch of the Discretionary Grants Program

Trustee company, Australian Executor Trustees (AET) has launched its discretionary grants program for 2017/18 offering up to $600,000 to eligible charitable organisations before 30 June 2017.

Women & Finance – A Man is Not a Financial Plan (City) - 27 March 2017

On Monday 27 March, Soroptomist International are holding a free information session titled ‘Women & Finance – A Man is Not a Financial Plan’. The session will be held at the Cumberland Arms hotel, 205 Waymouth Street Adelaide, at 6pm (if you wish to purchase dinner) with the information session running from 7-8.30pm. Rental Expert Carina Andrews will discuss rental agreements, and Financial Planner Christie Rigg will talk about money and younger women; credit cards; agreements; loans; insurance and superannuation. Essentials 4 Women SA: Beauty & the Beast - 30 March 2017  east

Essentials 4 Women SA are holding a screening of the film Beauty & the Beast at 6.30pm on 30 March 2017 to mark the final day of their 5th donation drive. E4WSA is an organisation that collects donations of feminine hygiene products and underwear, and distributes them to disadvantaged women.
