Psychosocial Disability Education Training and Employment - 7 to 10 August 2017  north  east  west

The Central Adelaide and Hills Partners in Recovery team at Life Without Barriers are currently undertaking a project to design resources to support people with a psychosocial disability to access to education, training and employment.

Life Without Barriers is seeking information from a diverse group of individuals to better understand issues facing people with psychosocial disability when accessing and maintaining education, training and employment. Feedback is being sought from consumers living with a mental illness, their families, friends and carers; as well as professionals working in this sector.

South Australian Dental Service: Traineeship Program  - September 2017

Each year the SA Dental Service offer over 20 Dental Assistant Traineeship Positions across the state (metro & country locations). Please find below links to the following information that you are able to utilise;

The eligibility criteria for our traineeship is;

  • 17 to 24 years of age or 17 to 30 years if Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. (We currently have 2 positions quarantine for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicants).
  • Have finished year 11

Online applications will open 01/09/2017 to 22/09/2017 for a February 2018 start date, with a 12 month contract.

Shelter SA’s annual Homeless Connect: Health and Housing Expo will be held during Anti-Poverty week in Whitmore Square on the 19 October 2017 from 10am to 2pm. If your organisation wishes to participate in the Homeless Connect Expo, please follow the link and complete the online registration form.

Green Gym volunteering hits South Australia  (City)

Green Gym is a fun, free and sociable outdoor program where participants will be guided in practical activities that will help to transform and restore local parklands for the whole community to enjoy. The emphasis of the program is on health and social interaction, with each session including a warm up and a cool down, and the activities all being designed to suit varying fitness levels and abilities.
