Little Kids & Books

Program Description

Little Kids and Books is an interactive literacy-based program that models simple, practical strategies to turn daily moments with your child, into opportunities for building language, communication, and early learning skills.

With a focus on reading and singing, the program encourages parents and children explore books together through different modalities, sparking curiosity, growing confidence, and fostering a love of reading together.

How the program is delivered

The program is delivered in-person and runs for a duration of 60-90-minutes.

The sessions focus on a ‘book of the week’ with activities designed to spark curiosity, grow confidence reading with your child, and foster a love for stories and songs. Each family receives a copy of the book of the week with extension resources to explore further at home.

The popular sessions of Little Kids and Books are also hosted at UCWB Bowden during the school holidays.
