At UCWB the safety of our community is our highest priority. We have implemented a range of measures to keep our community and our workforce safe.

Our Incident Management Group is meeting regularly and protocols and policies continue to evolve in line with state health advice.

Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

UCWB complies with the Emergency Management (COVID-19) (In home and Community Aged Care and Disability Workers Vaccination No 3) Direction 2021.

UCWB has a fully vaccinated workforce, with all employees due to receive a booster vaccine within four weeks of becoming eligible for one.

How we are keeping our community safe

UCWB have formed a COVID-19 Incident Management Group who monitor all Government requirements and advice, and develop policies, procedures and training above and beyond minimum requirements.

We stay up to date with how the situation is unfolding across the country and have regular contact with each state and territory Health Department.

We regularly revise our Business Continuity and Outbreak Management Plan, which will guide us if there are outbreaks in our community.

We communicate regularly with staff about updates to requirements and provide infection control training to our staff on COVID-19 prevention.

We provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow SA Health guidelines on appropriate use of PPE. We appreciate that sometimes this can compromise interactions and communications with your workers however this is one of the most effective barriers to preventing transmission of infection.

We undertake welfare checks on our clients who test positive for COVID-19 and ensure that emergency care plans reflect the support needed to assist during quarantine.

We engage trusted third-party service providers to ensure the capacity of our workforce continues to meet demand. We want you to have flexible and tailored support, whenever you need it.
