Aspire Recovery Connection (ARC) is a 100% lived experience mental health service within UCWB. Our supports are grounded in real understanding, offered by people who have walked their own paths through mental and emotional distress and now walk beside others with compassion and respect.
We walk alongside people in ways that honour what matters most to them, whether that’s building confidence, learning daily skills, or feeling more connected to community.
Through Recovery Coaching, Support Coordination, Peer Mentoring, Peer Supports and Counselling, we offer mental health support that is human, relational and shaped by real lived experience.
Our Recovery Coaches and Mental Health Support Coordinators walk alongside you as you navigate the NDIS, offering support grounded in lived experience. Together, we explore what matters to you, make sense of your plan and connect you with supports that truly fit your life.
Our Peer Mentors walk beside you with support grounded in lived experience and genuine understanding. We focus on what matters to you, taking time to listen and supporting you to build confidence, strengthen daily skills and stay connected to your community in ways that honour your path, your goals and your pace.
Our counsellors offer a down-to-earth, supportive space where you can explore your experiences with warmth, respect and genuine care. Through one-to-one counselling, we create a gentle and safe environment where you feel truly heard, understood and supported. With someone beside you, you can navigate life’s challenges at your own pace, building insight, resilience and confidence along the way.
ARC is a 100% lived experience service, meaning our team has personally navigated mental and emotional distress. We offer support shaped by real understanding, human connection and the wisdom that comes from lived experience. This approach guides everything we do.
NDIS Recovery Coaching provides guidance and support to help you understand your NDIS plan, build skills, make decisions and stay connected to the supports that matter. At ARC, Recovery Coaching is delivered through a lived-experience lens, helping you navigate systems with someone who truly understands.
Mental Health Support Coordination helps you connect with the right services, providers and community supports under your NDIS plan. ARC’s Support Coordinators walk alongside you, making the process easier to understand and ensuring your supports align with your goals.
Peer Mentoring is grounded in shared lived experience. ARC Peer Mentors offer emotional and practical support from a place of genuine understanding, someone who has “walked the path” and can offer hope, connection and real-life strategies in a relatable way.
Peer Supports can include help with daily living tasks, building confidence, getting out into the community, attending appointments, trying new activities and supporting your mental and emotional wellbeing. We walk beside you and support what matters to you.
ARC counsellors offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you can explore your experiences without pressure. Counselling is guided by what you need and delivered with empathy, gentleness and genuine care, always honouring your pace.
Our therapeutic groups are open to people who want connection, understanding and a supportive space to share experiences. Groups are guided by lived-experience facilitators who create a safe, inclusive environment to learn, reflect and be supported by others.
Many ARC services can be funded through your NDIS plan, especially if you have psychosocial support needs. If you’re unsure about your eligibility, we can help you understand your options and guide you through next steps.
