While we offer our services on a on a competitive privately funded basis, you may be eligible for a  government-funded home care package to assist you with the costs of these.

A government-funded home care package can help you remain living independently in your own home with your own budget to spend on services, aids and equipment.

Types of funding

Commonwealth Home Support Program

Considered an ‘entry-level’ program, the Commonwealth Home Support Program can help you enjoy independence at home and support your social connections. The program gives you access to basic support services such as help around the house, assistance with shopping, respite and access to social activities.

If you need some help with daily tasks to continue living at home, the Commonwealth Home Support Program may be the right program for you. It may also be suitable if you have had a setback and just need a little support to help you get back on your feet.

Home Care Package

A Home Care Package gives you access to a package of services that provide more support than Commonwealth Home Support Program. There are four levels of packages to meet your individual needs. With a Home Care Package, you choose your services and you are in control of designing a care plan to meet your individual circumstance and budget. As your plan is flexible, it can be updated as your needs or circumstances change.

Veterans Home Care Program

The Veterans Home Care Program provides eligible older Australians with a small amount of practical help to remain living independently in their own homes. UCWB is a preferred Veterans’ Home Care Program provider, which is available to people holding a Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card or White Card who have been assessed by the Veterans’

How to access home care services

There are a number of ways to access home care services. You may choose to apply for government-subsidised services, in which case you are required to undergo an assessment. Alternatively, you may choose to pay privately and begin receiving services immediately.
