Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)

What is CHSP?

Commonwealth Home Support Program is a government funded program that supports older people who are still managing well at home, but would like some extra assistance. Many people use CHSP when they need low-level support. Services are prescribed by a Regional Assessment Service (RAS).

Visit the Department of Health website for more information.

What can CHSP be used for?

You can use CHSP funds to pay for a range of  services including help around the house, transport, meals, personal care, social support, nursing and more.

Do you have to pay for a CHSP?

The Australian government pays for the bulk of aged in Australia and provides funding to providers like UCWB through grant agreements allowing us to provide subsidised services to our customers.
