Invitation – Art Exhibition Launch Night – 3 August 2018 (City)

There is less than one week until the opening night of the Paying It Forward, Outside the Square, SALA Exhibition, featuring original artwork by people who live in Unity Housing properties, in partnership with Café Outside the Square.

Launch night is next Friday, the 3rd August 2018 with the exhibition running through until the 31st August 2018. The event will feature live music, delicious homemade catering and an auction of a portrait of Eddie Betts autographed by Eddie Betts.

Please find attached the Agenda for our upcoming Marion Community Forum to be held on Monday 18th June 2018 at the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre, Warriparinga Way (off Sturt Rd) Bedford Park from 1-2:30pm.

This month there is a Multicultural theme with two speakers, Joni Cottrell from the Australian Refugee Association and Gianna Vorrasi, Multicultural Services Officer, Dept. Human Services.

Within their presentations, Joni and Gianna will talk about the current trends/issues/needs in the City of Marion area and any perceived gaps in services. There will be opportunity for questions and discussion following the speakers.

The ACE website has just been updated and released online. It includes a Google Maps locator which directly links to provider information along with a brief descriptor of what is on offer.

When Professor Gillian Triggs took up the role of President of the Australian Human Rights Commission in 2012, she never anticipated was that she would become one of the most controversial and polarising statutory office-holders in Australia’s history. In conversation with Dr Niki Vincent, Professor Triggs will explore the human rights issues at the forefront during her term, as well as the ‘highs’ and ‘lows’, the ‘lessons learned’ and her reflections on the gendered nature of public shaming from this time in her leadership career.
