With a strong commitment to social justice and inclusion, Carol leads and manages UCWB’s social well-being programs and innovation projects that aim to achieve measurable benefit for economically and socially disadvantaged children and families across Adelaide.
Her 30 year career in working in Housing in South Australia includes time in Emergency Housing, Public Housing, Aboriginal Housing and Homelessness.
She instrumental in service delivery reforms undertaken across South Australia’s Public Housing Sector in 2005 to 2006 and contributed significantly to driving housing policy reform in Aboriginal Housing, including the introduction of South Australia’s Aboriginal Transitional Accommodation Centres in Ceduna and Coober Pedy.
From 2009 to 2013 Carol lead the implementation of major reforms across the Specialist Homelessness Service Sector in response to the Homelessness White Paper and the National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness before leading the Re-imagine Housing SA change project, which culminated in the launch of the Housing SA Blueprint 2013 to 2018.
Subsequently appointed to the position of Director, Services and Practice where she had responsibility for the development and delivery of all services across Public and Aboriginal Housing in South Australia, Carol led a major service delivery reform that implemented a practice culture across all the regional offices of SA.
