Kath Vannan is a social worker with 25 years experience working mainly in the disability sector with children and adults.
Kath held a number of leadership positions within Disability Services (Department for Communities and Social Inclusion) including Manager of the Early Childhood Service and Program Manager for Children’s Services. In the latter role, Kath was responsible for the planning of service delivery models for children with disability and their families and working with other government and non- government stakeholders to improve outcomes for children with disability. Kath worked closely with Families SA (now the Department for Child Protection) to address issues related to child protection and children with disability. Kath has also been involved with student social workers for several years as a Field Education Liaison Officer at Flinders University, School of Social and Policy Studies.
Kath joined UCWB in 2015 to assist in the establishment of the Family Support Program and the Child and Family Mental Health Program. Following this, she worked on the preparation of the Business Case for the transition of aged and disability services and has been project managing the implementation. Kath is currently Acting Executive Manager, Ageing and Disability.
