What is CHSP?
Commonwealth Home Support Program is a government funded program that supports older people who are still managing well at home, but would like some extra assistance. Many people use CHSP when they need low-level support. Services are prescribed by a Regional Assessment Service (RAS).
Visit the Department of Health website for more information.
What can CHSP be used for?
You can use CHSP funds to pay for a range of services including help around the house, transport, meals, personal care, social support, nursing and more.
Do you have to pay for a CHSP?
The Australian government fund a large percentage of aged care services in Australia, through providing funding to organisations such as UCWB through grant agreements, allowing us to provide subsidised services to our customers.
