FINANCIAL HEALTH SERVICES 


Our caring Financial Health team provides a range of free, confidential and non-judgmental support for people who are experiencing financial difficulty. 


Financial Counselling


Our free financial counselling service, with qualified, independent and compassionate financial counsellors, can can put you back in control of your money. To find out more visit our webpage

Financial Capability 

Conduct a financial health check and get help to plan a household budget, negotiate bill payment plans and gain access to concessions.


No Interest Loans (NILS)


With no fees or charges, No Interest Loans (NILS) provide people on low incomes with access to safe and fair credit up to $1,500 and have repayments set at an affordable amount over 12 to 18 months. Available for essential goods and services such as fridges, washing machines, car repairs, and medical procedures. Not available for debt consolidation, holidays or bills, and not available as cash. 


StepUP Loans


The StepUP program is no longer available.
 
If you are an existing StepUP client and require assistance with your loan, you can call the NAB directly on 1800 701 599 with any queries.

ConnectEd


Help to understand utility bills, identify concessions and opportunities to use less and save, look for better deals, and talk with companies to get a better, fairer outcome. To find out more visit their website


Tax Help 


Our Tax Help volunteers are trained and accredited by the Australian Tax office and provide a free and confidential service for people with incomes up to $60k, with simple tax affairs, to complete their tax returns online. Available between July and October.
